“Art is never finished, only abandoned”

-Leonardo Da Vinci

Bio

On July 16th of 1969, Ursula Brutton was born and raised in Lima, Peru.

At 19 years old she studied fashion design at the Marta Bermudez Institute.

Her favorite classes were color theory and drawing. Falling in love with her brushes she decided to take on drawing and painting as a part of her life. She was then introduced to oils during one of her classes, and they instantly became her favorite medium.

Not long after that, she got married and left her country Peru. She became the mother of four wonderful children, making it extremely difficult for her to keep painting during the upbringing of her babies' first years of life.

She retook her passion for art in 2008 while going through marriage difficulties, separating from her husband of 18 years by 2009. Her big escape was painting under the instruction of a well known and talented artist in Ft. Pierce, Alferina Berger.

Ursula specializes in still life, fruits and vegetables being her favorites. She also loves to paint flowers and wildlife. She is an artist in the making, constantly exploring new mediums.

Ursula slowly works on a painting and takes time dealing with every detail as precisely as possible. You can be certain that each one of her artworks are made with copious amounts of passion and sentiment. The quote, "Art is never finished, only abandoned," by Leonardo da Vinci fits perfectly with this talented artist.

Enjoy.
